As a part of the VMware License Compliance Team, the License Compliance ‘Sr. Data Analyst - Supervisor – ELA’ will focus primarily on analyzing and reviewing customers’ software deployment reports at the end of the customers’ Enterprise License Agreements. The Sr. Marketing Database and Segmentation Analyst is responsible for managing the Americas Field Marketing database (primarily Atlas), including building and maintaining segmentation, data acquisition and remediation model that will be used to plan and execute marketing programs. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager \ Global Marketing Operations, this position will work directly with AMER SMB field marketing and campaign and segment managers to define, build, and report on key segments as part of the AMER marketing program planning and execution process. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Field Marketing Database Hygiene: Collaborate with the Global Operations team and outside vendors on the development and execution of ongoing database hygiene, including data quality scoring and data remediation planning.
- Marketing Segmentation: Work closely with marketing and campaign managers to develop, grow, manage and report on key marketing segments used in program execution.
- Program List Development: Support sales and marketing efforts in the development of targeted lists for sales plays and campaigns, leveraging both internal and external data sources.
- Segment Based Reporting: As required will work to assist with the business reporting requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of marketing/business operations and database management experience, preferably in B-to-B high technology. Understanding of marketing processes – campaigns, leads, database marketing, etc - highly desirable.
- 2+ years of experience working with relational databases.
- Intermediate to advanced SQL, PL/SQL knowledge.
- Ability to write SQL queries, query and extract large data volumes from databases which have millions of records and quickly and effectively map data from multiple sources into standardized values.
- Able to communicate complex technical topics clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Expertise in data cleansing and updating.
- Working knowledge of master data management tools such as D&B, AddressDoctor and Trillium.
