Partner Sales Manager

The Partner Sales Manager will be the primary liaison between value added partners and VMware. The PSM will be responsible for driving sales revenue through our partner community by managing and supporting current Professional and Enterprise partner base. Our Partner Sales Managers are based in our Austin TX headquarters.
Responsibilities:
Key contact for assigned partners in territory to support day to day needs
To develop, realize and maintain incremental revenue by selling and advocating VMware Virtual Infrastructure products to, through and with assigned VARs
Revenue: Responsible for driving VMware License and Service revenue with assigned partners as reseller and influencer of VMware Virtual Infrastructure and associated services
Account coverage: qualify / establish / maintain high awareness of VMware value propositions to all assigned VARs in the defined territory
Enablement: Market current programs and contracts that provide partners ability to resell VMware products, and adopt VMware Virtual Infrastructure IP.
Develop and implement marketing plans and events with select partners
Track business development in revenue by Quarter in a format that is accessible on demand.
Needs to be a high-energy, motivated self-starter and team player
Requirements: At least 2-5 years experience selling Enterprise Software in association with VARs.
Experience in building a partner-based business
Exceptional sales skills and the ability to work with partners remotely
Strong demonstrated expertise in creating, executing on, and driving solutions selling and product marketing for application and infrastructure software, especially in the context of major partnerships.
Cross-functional influence, relationship building, and project management skills toward a broad constituency ranging from customers, channel partners, sales, marketing, and technical management.
Strong business acumen and negotiation abilities.
Success in closing high value contract negotiations.
A background of consistently exceeding targets
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
